Mine are the PG tips ones with Johnny Vegas and Monkey! God I loved them. They were short but sweet, and always got a smile or laugh outta me. I’ve even got a few soft toys of Monkey. He was everywhere back in the day, and I still miss his ads 🙁 always like ads with mascots, sadly they don’t seem to be on as much anymore
What is your fave and why?

Crusha Milkshake from the early 2000s, the one with the kittens.

There can be only one answer, [Blackcurrant Tango](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odCBml5TuNI), what’s more British than that ending?
Fly fishing by J.R. Hartley, still gives me goosebumps.
I used to love the Peter Kay adverts for John Smiths.
Telling his little girl over the phone “there’s no such thing as wardrobe monsters. The burglars that break in through the windows, that’s what you wanna be worried about! Sweet dreams.”
Priceless
Had a chat earlier about the hedgehog road safety ‘King of the Road’ ad from the mid 90s. That always stuck with me
The Milk one, with Accrington Stanley, I used to like. One of the kids is now in prison.
There are too many – Carling black Label [Shite beer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qen5kgikbVI) but [brilliant adverts](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCemJAd3KZA), Guiness has too many to list each individually, but I’ll just drop [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpXSNVtsb8Q) with a big side order of [this here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Om15TM7t9g), but for me Irn Bru, has the best [like this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlkr0ML9SQ4) but particularly [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yZOab5gl-4). Adverts are great on YouTube, not so much when interrupting something good. I promise that there are no rick rolls…
Um Bongo, which I am reliably told is enjoyed in either or both of the Republic of the Congo or the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the ad never clarified which.)
Any of the Irn Bru adverts from the eaely 2000s, with special shout out to the Scotlands going to the World Cup series.
Full moon, half moon, total eclipse.
Milkyway – Red car blue car [https://youtu.be/Y4drNFXd6dw](https://youtu.be/Y4drNFXd6dw) I might be aging myself with this but it hits me right in the nostalgia feels!
The recent weetabix one with the girl on the beach fishing and pulling in a submarine is just great.
Makes me laugh every time and bang on their “youve had your weetabix” slogan!
Gorilla doing the Phil Colin’s piece on the drums. Think it was Cadbury’s
BELLY’S GONNA GET YOU
BELLY’S GONNA GET YOU
BELLY’S
GONNA
GET

Cadbury with Gorilla playing drums to in the air tonight
I think they only air it in Scotland, but the Irn Bru spoof of the Snowman at Christmas time always wins for me.
Hamlet cigars, especially the one with Gregor Fisher
[I used to use this ad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOcZ2RjbNM8) with students when talking about norms had changed over time – I’d ask them to write down what they thought the ad was about. The male students would write down lengthy descriptions of the car features and the female students would just write “sex” 😂
The yop drink advert, “yop for when di mornin’ come”
Sainsbury’s Christmas ad in 2014 covering the Christmas Truce of 1914.
