To add some context, my girlfriend struggles with mental health issues and I deal with anxiety issues. I feel like a lot of the times I am resentful of her needs when she’s having a mental breakdown as I often worry if helping her get better is putting a mental strain on me. When I think about her problems, I get a sick feeling in my stomach and I feel very distressed when I think that I might possibly not want to be in a relationship with her. Could my anxiety make me think the issues are bigger than they are?
