Fellas, I’m going to a wedding in Greece, I’ve no news on a dress code. What do I wear?

  1. It’s the Mediterranean, so I’d probably wear a light fabric suit with no tie… you may even be able to go shirt and slacks/khakis without a jacket.

  2. Full Batman costume. Bring your own Robin as from my experience it is not tradition to provide them to guests of Greek weddings

  3. I mean… can’t you ask whoever invited you? Are you an actual friend of either party or just somebody’s Plus-1?

Seems crazy to me that you’d go to an overseas (presumably) wedding, but wouldn’t be able to talk with the wedding party about this beforehand.

  4. Is it at the Greek Orthodox Church? If so, Suit and Tie is required. They have very formal marriage ceremonies.

  5. Black or grey pants, light colored button down shirt with a tie and a light cardigan sweater in a color that matches the shirt and tie; light grey or tan usually does the trick.

This outfit will allow you to fit into anything that’s not strictly “suit and tie” formal. Even if you end up at a carnival you can take off the tie, unbutton the sweater und untuck the shirt and you’re good to go.
