I have AAA, and looking for a new one mostly due to cost, but also due to their discount stipulations. I have to log all of my trips (that get scored), and if I don’t meet their travel minimums, I lose my discount. I remember there was another carrier that had you install something in your car to get a discount, which I don’t want to do. I just want insurance at a good rate without all the extra hoops to jump through. Any suggestions?

Progressive have us a nice discount with one of those trackers. I think now they just do it with an app.
Call an independent insurance agent and have them shop for plans that best fit your needs.
