How did you radically change your life if you were stuck in a rut?

  1. Baby steps out of my comfort zone. It sounds banal, but that saying about lapping the person on the couch rings true. Small progress is better than no progress.

  2. Quitting drinking changed my life completely. Starting a routine, working out, eating healthily also made such a huge difference. Focusing on yourself and your well-being is the best thing you can do if you’re in a rut.

  3. Walking. Quit my job and figured if I was working 8 hours a day, I could at least walk 8 miles a day. I’ve kept it up for 3 months now. Have a mini treadmill at home for bad weather. Walking has helped my mood, and I’m fitting into clothes I haven’t worn in years. Walking has definitely been a godsend for me.

  4. The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. My biological family isolated me because I reinforced my time schedule when they came to my house. This included texts, phone calls, or even visits. I was depressed that they didn’t respect me or my time schedule. However, my fiance works with a bunch of awesome people. They not only liked me but also helped me when I needed help.
