Sorry for potentially dumb question, trying to surprise my bf with his fave nba hoodie so I can’t ask him.

So if any of you kind gentlemen could tell me; if you’re 185cm/6″1, and lean but not buff, which size of loose sweaters and hoodies do you pick? M or L? I have M ordered but on Nike’s website it says it’s olny for 6″0 and under.

Would appreciate some help!
Edit: some kind dudes here. Saved my girlfriends duties so thank you all:)

  1. Depends on his build and fit preference, but a large is usually good for 6’1″.

  2. I usually go XL or if I’m after a cosy jumper it’s an XXL. I’m probably slightly more towards the slightly overweight’ category though!

  3. Depends on your body proportions, like I have a long torso and lean, mediums almost always fit but sometimes they are a little short.

I’m just under 5’10” and 29 inch inseam… the rest is torso.

  4. That’s my height and I like XL or XXL. I have long arms so a medium would never work and often a large doesn’t even work or if if does its really close and not comfortable.

Large is enough for my torso but not for my arm length if that makes sense. If you’re bf is lanky with long arms then I would bump it up a couple sizes.

  5. My husband is that size and usually gets a large. He’s a little on the muscular side with naturally broad shoulders though so sometimes after a wash or two the garment will shrink so sometimes an XL is better.

For the height/weight you listed I think L would fit just fine!

  6. It’s the shoulders.

If he has broad shoulders, XL.

    (Source: I’m 6’1″ / 185cm with broad shoulders and a size L pullover is like a straightjacket.)

  7. That’s my height and I weigh around 175lbs and I wear medium

I bought a Nike hoodie literally a few weeks ago in medium and it was a pretty tight fit (not *too* tight just athletic style) so large could be a consideration

I tend to find large make the sleeves too long though

  8. I’m 6’1 and wear a large or xl depending on the fit of my hoodie. I like my hoodies larger though.
