Hey Everyone,
I’ve just been offered a new job; but I need to go through background checks. Unfortunately having recently relocated in London I don’t really know anyone who is a regulated person bar the current people who I work with which would raise questions if I were to ask them.
I was wondering if anywhere in the UK does this as a service? I am having difficulty finding someone. I had tried the post office initially but they do not do these forms for the background check, neither does my GP either. So I am sorta out of options.

Ask the HR department at the new job if they can do that for you
Most solicitors will do this for a small fee. I asked one if they’d witness a form (ID required) and they only wanted £5 for their time, and this was in London.
I’ve never heard of it before, initially I thought you needed documents certifying. Odd.
You could try a bank teller too. I once got verifies by the clerk at Lloyds
What check? DBS, SC, DV?
Go to a police station with photo I’d. I have to do this every year to collect my Spanish pension. I take the form and photo I’d (passport) they fill it out, date it and stamp with a police rubber stamp. It costs nothing.
I had to have a lawyer of some sort do it when I needed it but that was to get married abroad so I’m not sure if that was stricter.
