I essentially catfished a girl on tinder with someone who looks similar to me, but is not quite exactly the same. I come from a religious background so I didn’t want to be exposed for having Tinder (my logic). We ended up meeting and she seemed to like me (touching, kissing etc.) and didn’t notice that I was different from my tinder profile. She recently called me out about that and I’m not sure what to do. She says that I broke her trust which I completely understand but how can I mend this?

  1. Apologize, admit that you used someone else’s photos and tell her your religious background so she has some context and let her know that that’s the only lie (hopefully you didn’t mislead her in any other ways). Let her know that you understand if she doesn’t want to see you again and that the ball is in her court. I would suggest you either remove yourself from tinder or use photos of yourself, you will run into this time and time again and it’s not the way to try and start a relationship. If you’re exposed for having tinder that means there are other people in your circle that are on it as well…
