besides very cheap things in the usa, by the type of cars, equipment, etc., are there very expensive things in the usa that cost a penny in the world?

  1. Labor comes to mind, wages are a lot higher here than equivalent jobs in other parts of the world.

  2. Food and drink.

    I was shocked by how cheaply I could get good food and beers in Portugal. Family that’s been to other parts of Europe say it’s similar there. Can’t speak for the rest of the world.

    Also prescription drugs, not unheard of to just go without because you can’t afford your meds.

  3. Utility “service fees”. People’s Gas charges $40/mo just to be connected to the gas service.
