It happened in my Spanish class, I got invited to do this mini-quiz with these nice two girls that I’ve talked to before. We had the girl who speaks Spanish (omitting names for privacy) quiz me and the other girl. Everytime we got a word wrong we got bonked lightly with a clipboard lol. Everything went well, and I ended up deciding that I wanted to focus on the Cuban dialect of Spanish because the girl who spoke Spanish is Cuban herself.

I’m happy it went well, and I’ve been having a lot of fun learning Cuban words and slang. I think my favorite word is la guagua (the bus), it sounds so cute!

She says that I should tell her any new Cuban words I learn, so I’d say that’s a win! My therapist says the interaction with the girls was good for me, since she says and knows my social skills are delayed lol (hooray for autism and social anxiety disorder)

But still, I’m hoping I’ll get to see her again in class today.

  1. That sounds like a great experience! It’s always wonderful to learn more about different languages and dialects, and it’s a great way to connect with people. It’s great that you’re enjoying learning Cuban words and slang, and that you have someone to share them with. And it’s always fantastic to have positive social interactions, especially if it can help build up confidence and skills. I hope you have another great day in class today!
