What temperature do you stop wearing your parka/stop wearing leggings under your pants?

  1. People wear leggings under pants?

I stop wearing my coat in June when it’s actually warm enough to do so out here

  2. 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I only wear coat and leggings when it drops below 30. Otherwise I’m wearing scrub pants, long sleeve t shirt, and lab coat jacket.

  3. I don’t own a parka, but I stop dressing for the cold when it’s like -8 to -5 Celsius, depending on wind, rain/snow etc.

Leggings under pants?? I will go barelegged in the middle of the winter if I wear a skirt or a dress. I can understand leggings with a dress if you’re going to spend some time outdoors, but I’ve never heard of anyone wearing leggings under pants.

  4. I live in the Midwest where it snows, tornadoes, and is painfully sunny all in the same day. 60°F and above is free for all weather. Some people are wearing hoodies and some people are wearing shorts and flip flops.

  5. Maybe 75° F. I have temperature regulation issues due to Long Covid so my body is freezing cold all the time.

  6. I don’t think I live in a place that gets cold enough to warrant two pair of pants. I only wear an actual coat if I’m going to be exposed to the elements for a long period of time. If I’m going from my apartment to my car I don’t need a coat.

  7. I wear a coat at 25F or less and I basically never wear leggings under my pants unless it’s like -15F.

  8. South of France, temperatures ain’t that bad but I stop to wear big jacket/parka around April

  9. I wear the same Nike yoga-pants and hoodie all year round; -40 celcius, 10, 20, whatever.
    So…never?
That said, at -25 celcius and below, I will wear a jacket too, if I have to be outside for any longer periods of time.

  10. I mean I put sweats over my leggings to run into the office at a wind chill of -25F or so. Otherwise just normal clothes and a jacket. Maybe a hat.

  11. I don’t think I’ve ever worn a parka or leggings under my trousers and it gets to like -4°F (-20°c) here.

I have a wool coat I wear once it gets below 41°f (5°c) Above about 53°f (12°c) can comfortably wear shorts.

  12. I never wear leggings under my pants. Mostly because I don’t even own any leggings or such.

Even if it’s cold, I tend to just wear my jeans. If it’s lower than -10 C, I might wear sweatpants under the jeans.

I wear my winter coat until it’s around +10 C, then I switch to lighter stuff.

I should add that I walk around an hour daily outside to/from work (combined), so I’m used to walking around early in the morning when it’s terribly cold in winter.

  13. I only wearing leggings under my pants when it’s really cold. Like negative temperatures. Otherwise starts getting warm enough just for a hoodie in like May sometimes April.

  14. If I’m only going to be outside long enough to get in/out of my car, 35 degrees or lower. If I’m going to be out in it, 50 degrees. (Farenheit)

  15. I don’t ever wear leggings under pants or any kind of base layer; I’m fine with appropriately heavy pants and a coat. I have different coats/jackets for different seasons…I’ll typically stop wearing any kind of jacket/vest/etc. when it’s closing in on 65 F.

  16. Under 30 I’ll wear my long coat, it’s not heavy but it blocks the wind. That’s with wool socks, leggings and a hoodie, below zero I’ll add boots and a hat. Over 30 is just a hoodie.

I’m from chicago and live outside milwaukee. We don’t get cold.

  17. It is currently 1C here and I wore a hoodie and a light windproof jacket. So…1C?

If im planning to spend a long period of time outside it needs to be over 0C for me to lose my parka.

I only wear leggings under my pants when I’m outside for longer than 30 minutes and its colder than -15C.

I live in north/central Alberta Canada for reference lol

  18. I only wear leggings under my pants when a) I’m in my work uniform (scrubs) AND b) it’s colder than -40.

My winter coat gets retired for a lighter jacket (but still warm) when it reaches -5C. Then I go to just a hoodie when it reaches about 10C. No coat or very light hoodie at 15C-20C (especially at night when temperatures still dip down to close to 0). Above 20C, no coat at all (I might still wear a hoodie at night as temperatures rarely go higher than 15C here). We will have a week or so every summer where the low temperatures (overnight) will still be 20C or above but usually it’s still pretty chilly at night, even in the dead of summer.

I live in Alberta, Canada and temperatures range from -50C in winter to +35 in summer.

  19. Louisiana winters are like an hourly thing. We’ve been in shorts for Christmas several times so a jacket is more of a “leave it in your backseat” kinda thing. Sometimes when I go into work it’ll be like 45/50 degrees, and by 1030 it’s 75. And due to the humidity, we have cool and warm versions of the same degree. Like 60 on a cloudy windy day is frigid for our standards, then a sunny 60 we could be sweating in the sun. It’s bizarre and a tremendous pain in the air when you wanna dress cute

  20. I wear thermal leggings underneath my jeans until 10C/50F.
Because of my body type, I have low tolerance for the cold, but I enjoy spending time in the woods and stay there for hours if my schedule allows for it, so clothes that help me keep warm are really important for me.

  21. It almost never gets cold enough here to require that I wear leggings or tights under my pants. Like, I would have to be camping midwinter. But I would wear a parka up until it’s around 15 Celsius/59 Fahrenheit.
