  1. I hope I don’t need to say this, but acting like a gentleman doesn’t entitle you to not get rejected and thinking it does would warrant a rude rejection…

  2. I was at an event and met a girl who is a “friend of a friend”. I’d seen photos of her on Instagram before and she was very beautiful. I also knew she was single. I was about to leave the event at the time, as it was a large public event with stuff happening and I had elsewhere to be. I talked to her briefly and she seemed friendly, so then I asked her if she’d want to go out sometime. She shot me down like a pheasant being blasted at 10 ft by magnum shotgun load, and she had a pretty aggressive and rude attitude about it. I smiled and said “sorry to bother you.” and walked away. Our mutual friend talked to her to find out what her problem was and why she didn’t want to go out. She told my friend that she did want to go out, but that she was playing hard to get and wanted me to “work for it” a little bit.

Yeah…NO. I don’t play crazy women games. I counted my blessings for dodging that hand grenade.
