I (30F) started recently dating someone (34M) who just moved to my city, on one of our dates I said something along the lines of ‘you just moved here, I’m sure you will want to experience the dating scene and that is totally cool with me’ and they seemed taken aback by the fact I said that. Since then we’ve seen each other a few times, it’s less ‘going on dates’ and more hanging out having sex which is actually kind of fun, but I’m conscious we haven’t been on a 1:1 date since I made that remark. I guess I’m concerned that they view me as someone they don’t have to try as hard with now. Have I kinda positioned myself as someone they don’t have to ‘try’ with because I was trying to be so..’chill’? Also, I’m curious is me approaching the situation the way I did a turn on/off?

  1. yeah saying that and then having sex with no effort is where you went wrong. next time position yourself better and demand effort.
