I am aware vaginal and urethral opening are different and penetration is done in the vagina, however I wanted to ask what happens to the urethra during vaginal penetration? Does it pushes up as vagina gets stretched? Also, if the separation between both the openings is small and if the penis keeps hitting the urethra too as one penetrates, will it hurt a lot? Or does the urethra automatically pushes up during penetration? I am worried I will hurt my partner if I somehow keep hitting the space between both the openings. Please help me with this…

  1. I’ve never experienced pain in my urethra from penetrative.

I have had pain from a misplaced thrust hitting my perineum though (a few different occasions). This is not something to worry about unless going very fast and not paying attention to where your body is in relation to your partner.

  2. The opening to a woman’s urethra is so small you’re probably not going to accidentally do any damage. I’ve been having sex with my partner for 9 years and never experienced urethral pain from penetration or thrusting.

What is far worse for my urethra is if I don’t pee right after sex. And I have on very very rare occasion made things swollen down there from a lot of grinding, and that was painful. But nothing ever at all from penetration itself.

  3. This is a non subject. You’re completely overthinking sex. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll see that this is not what matters. You’re not going to hurt your partner in this way. In other ways, maybe, but not like this.

Sex is all about communication. Every body, every situation is different. You have to know how to listen, and nature makes things easy for you.

  4. Man here… when the vulva is lubricated the penis naturally slides into the vagina. I would assume that a stretched vagina will cause the urethra to be pushed upward as it is always above the vagina whether the vagina is stretched or not from a penis or a toy. Generally speaking, when thrusting in and out, you don’t pull your penis all the way out of the vagina and just to the vulva. The penis head usually stays in the vagina regardless of the shaft

  5. The urethra sits above the vaginal opening. If you are penetrating her, you are already past the urethra and incapable of hitting it.
