Somebody please help me like the virgin I am. I was exposed to chlamydia by my partner and I need to get tested in the Los Angeles area. I have “L.A. Care Covered” insurance but my primary care doctor doesn’t exist or doesn’t take calls. So I go to planned parenthood, and two other clinics who turn me down for 3 entirely different reasons.
The third place mentioned this thing called the “green card” but I don’t know what that is exactly. It’s some type of government agency thing which I’m not too familiar with and personally don’t feel compelled to use for personal reasons.
I wanted to pay out of pocket for a test but two places said no because I showed them my insurance. It’s some type of law I guess.
Basically I have to wait weeks or maybe months to get a test and I don’t want to wait that long for obvious reasons. Any ideas?

Go to planned parenthood or look up recourses for free testing sites through LA dept of public health
Try the local gay health center.

You should be able to get tested at your county health department.
