I went out on a few dates with this guy after texting for a while, dates went great but on the first date he very explicitly told me he is only ready for something casual but still wants monogamy. Cut to a few weeks later, we go out and he tells me he thought I ghosted him when I didn’t reply for a few days, even though his replies had very spaced out during that time. He said he slept with a girl and wanted to be transparent. He told me he isn’t talking to her anymore but he’s on every dating app and is actively using them. I don’t really know what to make of this. I was honestly a little irked since he made a huge deal about monogamy. He said he thought I wasn’t interested and that I was going to ghost. He’s been texting more since and we’ve hooked up but nothing further. He maintained he’s not emotionally ready for a relationship right now but is open to seeing where things go. Am I overreacting in thinking he’s stringing me along?

What are you talking about? There is nothing confusing about his actions. His actions contradict his words. It’s your choice as to which one you believe. Self-delusion or acceptance.
He’s told you exactly what he wants. No relationship with you outside of casual sex, and he doesn’t want you having sex with anytime else. If that’s OK with you, ok, if it’s not, it’s not. There is nothing hidden here.
