Ok so first off “boring” might not be the best word, but I can’t think of a better…

When the Zephyrs were called the Zephyrs and not the fucking Baby Cakes.
Bills/Patriots 2011 when the Bills won 34-31, beating Brady I think for the first time. The place was absolute madness.
2015 World Series Game 1 – Royals beat the Mets 5-4 in 14 innings
At the time it was the longest WS Game in History
Rugby New York winning the Major League Rugby finals last year in the Red Bull arena.
It’s not the most significant league in the US, but I’ll likely never have another chance to have front row seats to a professional sport final in my life, much less where the team I root for wins.
I grew up in Denver and my dad had Broncos season tickets so I have a lot of memories of that.
But for me the biggest I saw was the Arizona Cardinals advancing their first (and only) Superbowl appearance after defeating the Eagles in the NFC championship game. The Cardinals, oddly enough, are the oldest team in the NFL and historically a bad team so for them to make it to their first Superbowl was a pretty big deal and was awesome to witness. It’s also was my eldest son’s 1st NFL game and it’s tough to beat the ambiance and pageantry of a championship game. (other than attending the Superbowl itself of course)
College World Series with an old man who was a pitcher and coach/scout for the KC team in the Negro league (Monarchs). He read that game like a fortune teller. Best baseball game I have ever seen.
Either Pujol’s 500th home run or an NHL goalie scoring a goal with like 0.1 seconds left
1999. High school football, I was on the field. 3rd down, Coach calls for a punt, grabs our kicker’s mask and screams “YOU KICK THAT BALL OUT OF BOUNDS!”. The kicker receives the snap, turns 90° to face the sideline, and kicks the ball way up into the stands.
Personally notable moreso than historically
But I was able to see Patrick Mahomes hook up with Travis Kelce in arrowhead stadium in a 2nd half comeback against the Titans last season, winning in overtime
It’s wild how casual they and that team make the game of football seem
First time the Cavaliers beat the LeBron led Heat at the Quicken Loans Arena. Place was going nuts!
During a scrimmage in high school football one of my teammates caught his finger in an opponents facemask and degloved it. His finger bones and ligaments we’re still there with the nail and all the skin bunched up in a wad at the bottom like a peeled banana. Thankfully for him they took him to emergency surgery and were able to save the finger.
2014 play off final. Back in the league after a decade of suffering.
There may be “bigger” moments (there have been since) but nothing will ever compare to that after the journey to get there.
The first “Linsanity” game.
I got to watch the Broncos beat the Pats in the 2016 AFC championship right before the Broncos won the Super Bowl. Watching Von Miller sack Tom Brady multiple times in my home stadium is something I’ll never forget.
