Sorry for the crappy title. I’m 22, graduating college soon. I’ve always been the black sheep of the family basically, my family is very into sports and I’ve never had even the slightest interest in watching or playing sports.
Recently, my dad in particular keeps asking me if I like basketball and if I watch my college’s team.
Even though my answer is no every time…
I don’t know why he keeps asking when it’s pretty clear I have no interest. I guess maybe they can’t understand why I wouldn’t like it, and maybe it’s a social bonding thing for them, but I straight up just can’t get into it.
I feel guilty almost, or like I should try to follow it just for my family so we’ll have more to talk about. It feels crappy when my dad keeps asking and I have to awkwardly say “no I haven’t watched the game” etc
