How unbelievably beautiful my husband thought I was after a horrendous & painful delivery of our first son. He printed a 5×7 photo of the moment I held our boy & had it on his dressing table. I was taken aback & offered a nicer/better one. Over 3 decades later, his sweet words still bring a tear to my eye.
“I cherish even your absence, for the idea of you occupies my mind when your presence doesn’t occupy my eyes.”
This is a paraphrasing of a comment I read recently. Certainly not *the* most romantic, but if someone told me this, I would soon.
