what is a parenting mistake you made?

1. Not sleep training earlier, before it turns into a hassle.

2. We couldn’t afford it at the time, but I wish we had done sleep training. I tried all the books and YouTube – didn’t work. There was a sleep consultant that charged something stupid, like $300 an hour, I often wonder what would have been different if we’d found the money and if she’d slept…

3. Not getting help for my ppd/a much much sooner.

4. Not my kid but I used to AuPair at a family that didn’t get their child to sleep in her own room early on. When I was there she was 5 years old and still sleeping in the same room as them. Now she’s 9 and still sleeps in a bed in their bedroom. Her bedroom is right next to their room.

5. I definitely shouldn’t have said the word “wee-wee” just before lights out.

6. Taking advice from other people and not trusting my own instincts.
