I have such a friend, I met relatively recently. Cool guy that I would meet from time to time – but you know, there are friends who are on the same wavelength and some who are not really, and you just see each other from time to time. With some people you can steal horses and talk to 4 am, and with others – you will talk for 2 hours and it is enough. I already have friends who I hang out with and party with. And we’ll meet him sometimes over some whiskey. However, we are not on the same wavelength. It’s fun to meet for a while, but after two hours I’d be getting home. And he extends the meetings indefinitely – it pisses me off because then I do something against myself.

However, this friend writes me every now and then, he wants to go out somewhere every week – even when I let him know that I would rather not be able to do it and I will contact you when I have a moment. He doesn’t listen anyway, continues to write and writes and it’s stupid sometimes because I don’t know what to say. He doesn’t understand the allusions and gets obtrusive. Then I end up seeing him in spite of myself, because I’m uncomfortable to say no for the hundredth time. I don’t know how to deal with such people. It would be just stupid for me to impose myself like this if I saw that it works one way and some people know no boundaries.

Sometimes it seems to me that I meet him out of polite and not because I want. I am assertive but this not helps – he writes again, and again.
