So I am currently in college and I have this lab partner who is a Soccer Star and a lifeguard she is really friendly but I dont know if she likes me or is just being nice. I am kinda out of shape and never really asked a girl out so I dont want her to reject me and us still have to work together..it would be awkward. But I don’t wanna miss a opportunity with her either. I need advice BAD.

  1. I think it would only become awkward if the person who got rejected makes it awkward. I’ve learned through countless rejections that the way I respond and act around the person in the future can determine if it becomes awkward.

So basically have a decent conversation with her and just shoot your shot. Ask her to dinner sometime or whatever. IF she says she’s not interested then just play it off like it’s no big deal. ( much easier said than done I know ) unfortunately I got really good at it after awhile.

Unfortunately, this exact scenario is what happened with me and a girl I knew in highschool. I was overweight and asked her out, she rejected me but I played it off like it was no big deal. In highschool, we continued as if it’s like I never even asked her out.

9 years later we still talk every once in awhile but she’s now married with kids so not really anything I’d try at again lol.

I hope this may give you the idea to atleast try rather than just not doing it at all. There were so many situations where I did absolutely nothing because I didn’t want to be rejected and honestly I lay in bed at night wondering if I had just done something if one of those times would have been a yes

  2. Most girls who lifeguard, usually date other lifeguards. Most male lifeguards usually do triathlon or ironman, in amazing physical shape.

But shoot your shot, you never know.

  3. I couldn’t do it what if she says no you still have to ho to class ND wonder what’s she’s thinking knowing she’s trying to ignore you and I couldn’t do it. Maybe the last day of class unless she’s smiling at you often to much pressure
