What do you do on days when you feel absolutely terrible about your own self?

  1. It’s not helpful, but I cry. A lot. So I cry on a daily basis, I’m very dehydrated lol. I’m helpless, but I can try to help you. It’s ok to have bad days sometimes, but you also have to remember that it’ll pass. Think about all the good qualities you have and work on the ones you don’t like. Nobody is perfect and you should remind yourself of that & that you’re only human and doing the best you can. On those bad days, try to do something you like even if you don’t feel like it or just sit and try to reflect on why you’re feeling the way you are. Maybe you only feel terrible about yourself because an external force is telling you that you should. Or maybe you just need to learn to love this part of yourself. Either way, you’ll be ok 🙂

  2. I just go for a hike where I can connect with nature. It helps me feel a lot more calm and collected. I did that a lot in my home country before I immigrated so in a sense it’s a form of therapy for me.

  3. Take a shower – not a bath. Put on some make up, dress up. Prepare myself a cheese plate, some whisky then watch a bunch of movies where the heroine always wins ☺️ or troll reddit and piss off some people. 😉

  4. Check my self talk, am I talking to myself like a friend or an enemy? Make sure I have a comfortable and safe day-do things that bring me comfort; spending time with people I know love and care for me, get lost in a book, get some rest, take a long shower with alllll the self care steps.

  5. Eat, do minimal housework, try and distract myself by going online or watching TV, have a cup of tea, if it gets really bad I lay in bed and cry listening to music lol I feel terrible about myself every day so I’m used to it. Today I woke up from having a dream about a friend who cut me out a few weeks ago and I wanted to cry lol it is what it is I carry the fuck on because its my job and life is too short.

  6. That’s just every day for me, lol. But if it’s extra bad I cancel any plans, stay in and ignore any responsibilities, so I can relax as much as possible and try to recover mentally.
