Should I confront my “friend”

I have a relationship ( non romantic )with a person which in which I initiated the relationship and began talking to them mainly about school at first, then it evolved into daily activities, but although we text and see each other basically everyday, I recently began feeling as though they have been cold towards me and avoiding me, such as leaving me on delivered for hours and sometimes days, and avoiding at school in general.
So my question is should I confront them and ask them why they have been cold towards me , and my feelings of comradary. I have an extremely small and designed friend group from my perspective and am new to these types of situations, so I came to reddit for advice.
