  1. I love this semi expensive mechanical draft pencil I bought a few months ago. I was one of the only people still using wood pencils after middle school because I was really disappointed with the sturdiness of a cheap set I bought a while back.

Victoria 3 has a lot of Britishy 19th century hymns like tracks unlike some of the other paradox games’ music that don’t focus on a single nation. I own Stellaris and that game has a lot of electronic music while hoi4 features historical songs and thematic orchestral tracks.

    Here’s [“Glory to the Queen”](https://youtu.be/hSzCJ6wcnrw).

  2. My brother is asking me for film recommendations. The problem is, our tastes rarely align 😔 we both like horror, but that’s it. Do you guys perhaps have any recommendations? Some examples of films that he likes are Wreck it Ralph 2, It 2, Road to Perdition and Insidious (will add more if I think of any).

Other than that, I talked to mom yesterday. The whole country is in a constant state of talking about politics. All the time. It’s really do or die now. I am hopeful and terrified at the same time. The opposition leader is getting a lot of criticism for being a candidate. People think he lost too many elections already, but I think that’s really unfair. At the end, with this much manipulation, any other would have lost as well.

    Eeep. Two more months.

  3. Ah, spring. The days are longer, the birds are singing, *and the rats are breeding like crazy*.

We’ve been trapping rats for a few weeks now, and today I went out and bought more traps so we can up our nightly killing sprees. It’s gruesome, and I hate it, but its either this or the municipality comes and takes care of it themselves – with poison 🙁

Country living is all fun and games until you’re forced to become some sort of rat angel of death, dispensing peanut butter and swift, merciful killings until the rat genocide is completed, lest The Authority decides to nuke it all from orbit.

  4. I have arrived at a critical point when it comes to one creative project. It’s not how I want it to be, and I’m not exactly sure what it needs to be what I envisioned. This is the moment you do something else for a couple of days, and things either magically progress forward and fix theirselves, or you forget about the project and you probably should have abandoned it earlier in the first place.
