Why does he want a relationship now ?

I F (27), have been seeing this guy (m 32) for some time now, at the beginning he told me that he is not ready for a relationship and he only wants to hook up. He found me on a dating platform, and he had on his profile that if he meets the right one he would be happy to get into a relationship.

Now, when a guy tells me he only wants to hook up, I detach emotionally from the situation and if I find him physically very appealing I would pursue him, but just to be sexually intimate, nothing more.

I feel angry because he himself is confused of what he wants, and he is delaying it for us to sleep together…. It’s nice that he appreciates me a lot and respects me, but he said at the beginning that he only wants to hook up. This situation is starting to become very overwhelming for me…
This evening he was acting super poetic about my hair and my appearance…. It honestly annoyed me more than it made me feel flattered…. Whenever I tried to be intimate with him he wanted to slow down because he “didn’t want to rush or ruin things” 😩😩

And this is literally the second time this is happening to me. Why some guys say they only want to hook up and once they get to know me better they wanna have a relationship? Our feelings are not for testing. Either you know what you want or you don’t.
