are you put off by “friends” that try to constantly sell their business on social media?

i completely understand needing to put the word out, but when it comes to personal friendships i feel like they shouldn’t reach out to you personally about a business opportunity unless they reach out to you first. to me, it feels like i’m being used when they do that. i’ve had that happen a few times. it just feels like they want my money, and i don’t know if they want the actual friendship or not. one of those “friends” just deleted me on insta once i announced i’m moving, so it just kinda confirmed my gut feeling.

wondering if anyone else has dealt with that? i’m moving to another new city soon and i’m keeping my distance from anyone i feel is like that now Lol lesson learned.
