So, I’ve got this idiot in my class and literally every single fucking time, she will come to me and say something to me to implicitly gloat about how she finished something before me and all that time all I want to say is **STFU AND GO TF AWAY**. I give 0 shits about what she’s saying and just want her to leave me alone so that I can get my work done.

So, how do I get the message across without seeming annoyed or weak? It’s truly bugging me. I wish that I didn’t have to deal with people like these but I know for a fact that I’ll have to as I grow older.

  1. You don’t.

If they’re bugging you, that’s your issue. They want your attention. If you don’t want to give it in a positive way, Walk away and ignore.

  2. Just smile and say in a very friendly way, “That’s great. I’m sure you did a really good job on it. I’m sorry to be rude, but I still have to finish mine.” And then turn away and ignore her from that point on.

If she’s trying to get a rise out of you, she’ll see it’s not working, and eventually she’ll give up. You may have to do it a couple times until she gets the hint.

And that’s what they call killing them with kindness.
