We are basically just hanging out and hooked up last time we met. He lent me his jacket to go home the next day because it was rainy and there was no umbrella.

After we parted, I tried to start some casual chat over text – he always responded pretty quickly and friendly but wasn’t very engaged or take lead of the convo (he had a friend visiting, so might had been just busy?).

Also immediately after I got home, I asked how to give back his jacket, to which he responded to just return it another time and enjoy it in the meantime.

It’s been two weeks since we last met.

Should I initiate reaching out again to return his jacket (our work office buildings are close)? or should I leave it for now bc he didn’t seem to be engaged in chatting with me?

Could he be keeping the response opened so he can use it as an excuse to see me again when he wants to?

  1. Yeah reach out and ask about the jacket again and if not just leave the jacket there or tell him.you will donate it.

  2. He’s probably using the jacket as an excuse to see you and hook up again. Do you want to see him / him up again? If so then reach out about the jacket

I think you should just put the jacket in your closet and forget about it. It’s his jacket….. if he wants it, he’ll let you know. It’ll be fine if you just store it away and leave it, it’s not a plant that you have to water and maintain
