They are super comfortable and very flattering on the thighs, bottom and ‘package’ but they aren’t worn as a normal casual thing in the same way as when women wear them:

I’m a female and I love when my other half wears his sports leggings (he wears them for comfort in the house, and under his football shorts.)

I think they make him look HOT, in the same way he likes me in leggings I guess, but they seem to be an ‘only female’ garment outside of the house. Why is this? They are comfy and look great? I wish leggings were normalised in mens fashion.

Edit: spelling

  1. Genital structure – people find it offensive when things get tight and pokey outey around that area.

Individuals might feel differently like you OP, but generally speaking.

  2. I’m gonna stick with my sweatpants, thank you very much 😂 That is my comfort wear.

  3. >they seem to be an ‘only female’ garment outside of the house

    Men have PPs.

Showing off your PP through tight clothing is not well viewed while in public.

  4. I wear leggings at home, but there’s just no way I’d wear them in public. Like jeans or sweatpants can sortof combat a no reason boner, but leggings just aren’t able to

  5. Yeeeah, as comfortable as they might be, a man showing off his bulge in public is going to raise many questions. Even more so if there’s a sudden rush of blood to the bottom half of the body.

  6. I’d get looked at like a creep in public with leggings with a dick print. Different anatomy we’re talking about lol.

  7. I’m not following everyone else in the thread – I regularly wear leggings (mostly for sport activities, sometimes around the house or when going to buy groceries) but I also wear boxer-briefs beneath which tend to flatten out and hide my “package”. Obviously would never wear them with no underwear on but I think anything that covers your junk should work fine.

As for the other issue – for me, that stuff is usually too tight to get an erection, honestly I’ve had more issues with more “relaxed” clothing such as tight jeans than leggings which offer no protection from the cold (which is often a boner killer).

  8. just not socially acceptable I guess. Personally I don’t like my clothes to be that tight, I would rather wear slightly form-fitting track pants or something that still has some breathing room.

Some guys wear leggings with shorts over them though, I’ve never done it but I can see the appeal if it’s cold.

  9. I wear leggings when exercising (either running/cycling/doing HIIT when it’s not warm enough or hiking).

Other than that – there aren’t really leggings for men than don’t scream “compression sportswear”

  10. Are you a leggings salesman? You seem like you are really trying to sell men on this.

  11. Men more traditionally wear sweatpants. Men don’t show off their legs the way women do

  12. First of all, you are addressing less than 50% of men with your question. Why? Because you aren’t talking to overweight or obese men; see rates of overweight men (and women) for reference.

Secondly, “comfort” is quite subjective, I don’t see much comfort in tight, clingy clothes without pockets.

Third, I actually don’t care what people think I look like in my clothes. And I don’t want that kind of attention anyways, it is empty imo. And I have better, longer lasting things to offer than chiseled bodyparts.

  13. I see them as strictly workout clothes (and not something typical for guys unless participate in ballet or other women’s sports/activities). In that regard, I wear basketball shorts when it’s warm, and sweatpants when it’s cold.

Leggings look like they would provide no protection against the cold. And they look they would become really foul/nasty when it’s hot out and you’re sweating.

  14. Leggings in public would require codpieces and the whole legging/codpiece thing went out of style like 500 years ago.

Unless you are at a Renaissance Festival or something? 😂

  15. >Why don’t more men wear leggings?

Because men’s fashion sucks due to BS gender expectations and some men are afraid of being perceived as “not masculine” (whatever tf that means) .

I wear leggings, yoga pants (when I workout) and tight jeans, and they’re extremely comfortable, they also look better imho.

Thing is, men’s tight stuff sucks, they usually use thicker/stiffer fabrics, they are often not as comfortable as wide models, don’t allow as much movement and are sometimes annoying around the genitals.

Solution? I buy women’s clothes, softer fabrics, better cuts and colours.

I’m a big dude but they are super comfortable and look pretty, after figuring out the size I basically stopped buying men’s fashion jeans/pants, they look horrible imho.

  16. **”Why don’t more men wear leggings?”**

Because they’re KNUCKLEHEADS! I wear them for all the reasons you mentioned and wifey is like you, she thinks I’m sexy when wearing them. We’ll come back from a bike ride and as we’re putting our bike in the garage, she’s not above grabbing a hand full of my butt!?! I think she’s hotter than a 5 alarm fire when she’s wearing them! Yes, I’ve been known to grab a hand full of her too!

  17. My wife stops me at the door before I go to the grocery store with gray sweatpants lol leggings would not fly , plus I prefer looser fitting pants. Never was a fan of skinny jeans for men.

  18. It may be physically comfortable but it’s psychologically uncomfortable. It’s emasculating and effeminate.

In my culture, we wear something called a sarong. Which kind of looks like a skirt funnily enough lol. Super comfortable

  19. Men are usually pretty insecure about their bodies and oddly modest. Similar reason men don’t wear short shorts and instead opt for board shorts and similar. It’s just becomes unfashionable because of that. Also, we really don’t get the kind of sexual attention women do for wearing form fitting or revealing clothing. So there’s not much incentive.

But even an average woman in leggings can get lot of attention and reinforcement. It might even be too much at times. It’s so not like that for men at all.

  20. Speaking anecdotally, I’ve noticed men tend not to wear skin tight clothing.

  21. Both men and women typically find the female form attractive, even if it’s not necessarily sexually attractive. It’s pleasing on the eyes, at least, so tight, form-fitting clothes on a woman looks nice to most people.

Most men, and many women (and elderly people) do not find form-fitting clothes on a guy appealing. Most people don’t want to see the curves of your butt cheeks and your junk sticking out a few feet away from someone. It might be appealing to homosexual men and some women , but pretty unsightly to many others

It doesn’t really matter if I have a good body or not, most people in public don’t want to have to glance at my “curves”. Look at people in bike gear if you want to see how appealing that looks on a guy.

  22. My hoochie daddy shorts get enough attention…I don’t need anything skin tight.
