My two friends (25M and 25F) were recently engaged but broke off the engagement recently. They are also both my roommates currently but that will likely change soon after they’ve split up. I’m really close friends with both of them, We’ve known each other for the better part of a decade. About a year ago I developed some feelings for my female friend but quickly tried to bury those feelings because she was engaged to my male friend. Since their break up, those feelings got brought back up. I’ve done my best to be both of their emotional supports during this difficult time for them. I know the last thing she wants to hear after her engagement ending is me professing my feelings for her. I fear she will exit from my life completely when she moves out and I’ll never even get a chance. This would also likely harm my relationship with my male friend, and my other friends would resent me for going after a friend’s ex. I’m trying to just bury those feelings again but anxiety has been eating away at me for weeks. What should I do?

TL;DR- My roommates broke up their engagement, I have feelings for one of them, is their any way to handle this?

    Cool, then don’t.

You should avoid going after your friend’s ex fiances as a general rule.

    Lol at “likely”.

  2. Nothing good will come of voicing your feelings at this time.

It would be hard to be in a house with someone you’re attracted to, that’s something you should think about when picking housemates moving forward. I’m sure you weren’t trying to develop a crush on her but just this as a lesson learned and try your best to move on.

  3. Being her emotional support has probably made things worse for you, but that’s not love.

Let her move out and use thar space to lose your feelings.
