I know there is no ‘one size fits all’ advice for moving in together, and that is not what I’m looking for. I’m just really curious about your experiences.

  1. My partner and I were 21, together for just over a year, when we moved in together. The first year of our relationship he was staying at mine probably 4-5 days a week so we’d been kind of half living together from about a couple months in. It takes some getting used to, and setting boundaries but it can be so fun.

It’s so great, we love living together! I think it really depends on the person you’re with, definitely try things out before fully moving in together.

  2. My now husband and I met when I was 21 and he was 23. We dated four years when he proposed. We both agreed to live together for a couple of years and save up money for the wedding. This also allowed us to make sure we were able to live together. I had heard stories of people moving in with their significant other and finding out they were not who they said they were. We had been long distance so it was a good opportunity. We have been together almost 16 years now and married almost 10. We spend most of our time together and even work together now. It’s been great.

  3. We moved in together after our honeymoon. So 14 months of being together. 33 years this Sept!

  4. We moved in together when I was 22 and he was 23, we were together since 5 months and we were engaged. We’re still living together now (I’m 24), we’re married and it’s going very well!

  5. I was around 24 or 25? can’t remember….I just ‘knew’ it was the right thing and 20+yrs later, he’s still my lobster 🦞 ♥️
