Well, I’d like a roomate. I have a 2 bedroom apt that I’m paying too much for. With a roomate it would be 500 right down the middle. I live on a university campus but I’ve already graduated (31m). I’m also open to finding a relationship. Should I go the route of posting a local ad online somewhere about roomate wanted and have it preferred to mainly females or is that weird? Lol.
I don’t know If this a growing niche with some promising success rates. Which is why ive come to reddit to see if anyone has ever tried to couple dating and finding a roomate together. Living on campus may mean that my rate of finding a roomate would be higher. But an attractive female maybe not so much. Im an Ok looking guy i guess, fit, athletic, I’m active. Like to keep clean. Striving to set goals consistently. Steady job. Is there any dating apps with roomate incentives out there ?

Specifically advertising for a female roommate as a straight guy, I’d imagine, comes off a little weird. And to be clear, you’re not going to get a female to move in with you, then magically woo her into being your girlfriend. Now, if you’re looking for access to her friends, that’s another thing. Still a bit creepy though, honestly.
Using your spare room as an incentive to find a date is creepy.
Gender shouldn’t matter. Just make sure they clean up after themselves.

Having a female roommate leaves you three possibilities:
1. She is a completely platonic woman living at your place. She will be dating and bringing her guys to your place.
2. Your shoot your shot and get rejected. Now it’s awkward and you are that creepy landlord.
3. You shoot your shot and it works. Do you continue to charge rent? Does she really like you or is it just to get free rent? If you break up, congratulations you live with your ex, and get to meet all the guys she brings home.
I can’t think of a single way you benefit from renting to a girl with your current mindset.
