The one time I have been to his job, I came in and waved to everyone that was in the kitchen area. Two people waved and said hello, the (F?) ROLLED her eyes at me. I also recently discovered he had deleted her text chain on his phone. She is also up for a promotion to be his assistant!! My red flag sensors are going off like crazy

I mean, inherently there should not be anything to worry about when he says “there is nothing to worry about” if you think that response gives you something to worry about you pretty much set yourself up to worry…
But the dude deleted the text sent between the two – that is something to worry about.
The promotion, that is not something to worry about either.
At a glance, it seems like there is something going on, and she dislikes you because you’re essentially “in the way”.
Or perhaps he’s been complaining to her about you and making you look bad, so she thinks badly of you, and he didn’t want you to see him insulting you over the text messages.
Or both.
Either way, you do have something to worry about.
