There’s a post on here about how to deal with jealous friends but what if you are the friend that feels jealous, how do you overcome that feeling?

  1. It helped me to recognize that jealousy is a secondary emotion. Jealousy is like the warning light on the dashboard pointing to deeper issues like anxiety, fear of loss, insecurity, etc. When I have encountered jealousy in the past with friendships, I wasn’t able to move past it until I was able to identify what I was actually feeling and sit with that emotion and figure out what I needed to do.

  2. When thoughts of jealousy rise up I think of as many reasons I love my friend and why I should be happy for them. Other than that I pray.
