I asked Reddit in several places, and I got advice from those places to call them out. So I did, it turned out badly and I posted on [AITA most of the story.](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmItheAsshole/comments/12lewzo/aita_for_calling_out_my_friends_on_their_bs_and/)

(yes, I get the link is annoying, but I don’t feel like copy-pasting a million different posts)

TL;DWTR: called out my friends on their BS and abandoning me, got huge backlash for it, they went nuclear, and I don’t know what to do, any advice?

  1. I’m sorry for your situation but it sounds like you got very bad advice. Coming in hot is generally the wrong way to resolve any communication issue. That puts the other parties on the defensive, they’re going to fire back, and now you’ve lost any chance at constructive communication

  2. Dude your actual friends should never abandon you and even if you call them out a decent friend will try and figure out what made you upset and if it’s gotten to a point where you gotta go online and ask for advise then you gotta get better friends and I don’t mean this in a rude way but speaking from experience it’s better to let them go and be alone even for a little while then be with people who don’t really care about you
