What else do you get done to your hair while you are at the salon?

How much does it usually cost? Do you view this is cheap, reasonable or expensive?

  1. Once a month. Not sure how much the cut costs as its in with my colour and its £120 combined which I think it about standard for where I am.

  2. I have short hair so every 4 weeks.

Its 40$, and I find it reasonable. I don’t do anything other than the cut.

  3. I get my curtain-bangs cut every 5-6 weeks.. and a full on hair cut maybe once or twice a year depending on when I notice/remember haha

  4. I dye my hair every 8 weeks, so that’s when I get a haircut too. It costs about $220 combined, which is standard here. Not sure what only cutting would cost but my guess is around $50-60.

  5. Two times a year, washing, cutting and styling.

25 euros. Reasonable. Wouldn’t pay more than 30.

  6. I get an haircut every 6 months, I just do a shampoo and conditioner with the haircut. It’s usually $25/$30.

  7. I get a “dusting” of my ends and color every 10 weeks. Honestly idk what it costs, I’m an esthetician and my hairstylist and I swap out services. I’m lucky!

  8. However often my mom allows….which is generally every 6 months unless I accomplished smthn special

My mom cuts my hair so the cost is essentially 0

Edit: I better learn to cut my hair myself when I grow up w/ that kind of cost

  9. Oh man… last one was January of last year, and the last one before that was February 2019. And the last one before that was spring 2013 LMAO. Clearly hair maintenance is not high on my priority list. I usually let it get down to my waist, get sick of it getting tangled in everything, get it chopped to my shoulders, and repeat. Depending where I go, it’s usually in the $40-60 range (not including tip), no color or extra treatments or anything.

  10. I go to the cheapie $15-20 places and get 6+ inches hacked off every year or so just for the split ends. My hair is not very important to me.

  11. Cut and colour for me is every 12 weeks I get highlights and have a bunch of grey so it blends in together pretty well.

    It’s about 160CDN for me.

  12. Once a year. $25, including tip. I just get a few inches off every year. Very reasonable!

  13. I get my hair straightened and ends clipped like twice a year. I pay $0 since my mama is a beautician. Sometimes she will make me buy her a meal first.

  14. Never. I have been to several different hairstylists and they always mess up my hair and they always cut too much. And then they always overcharge me for it. I asked for a one inch trim and that’s all and they ended up cutting way more than that and charged me $50 for that. I have very long hair and prefer to keep my hair long so I only get a very small amount of my ends cut every so often. I just learned to cut it myself.

The only thing I’ll go to a hair stylist for is a Brazilian blowout or keratin treatment, it’s hard to mess that one up. Those hair treatments normally cost me between $350-500

  15. Once each summer.

Usually just a trim, but I’m very specific about what I want. Have the same haircut since I was a teen. Costs usually around $60 for a good salon. I think it’s whatever. I don’t get it cut often anyway.

My last haircut was February 2022, and I think my next will be August this year. Moved to a new country last March and none of my friends/colleagues here can recommend a good salon so I’ll get it cut when I visit home for summer.

  16. Every 6 or so weeks. It include shampoo, conditioner, and a trim. Costs around $30 and I’m happy with that.

  17. Like twice a year. But I do color every 2 months. I think the cut is $75 color is like $160.

  18. I cut my own hair, roughly once per year.

When my hair was shorter I cut it myself roughly every three months

  19. I don’t get it done as often as I should – around every 4 months or so and it’s usually around $75 for a cut which includes a tip. I also get highlights around the same timeline which cost around $300 including the tip. I view this as reasonable.

  20. Every 6 months. I have long curly hair and she’s a curl specialist. $160 total with tip. Sometimes she will diffuse and pick out all of my curls if I have the time, sometimes I just sit under the hood for a bit and go. I buy nice shampoo and conditioner which costs me about $150 every 6+ months.
I feel I’m pretty low maintenance. I like my natural color so don’t do any color, have thought about a gloss but meh. I make a good income and only go every six months so I think I am very reasonable.
She is by far the best cut I’ve ever gotten, it’s hard to find a great curly cut and it’s worth the extra expense to me.

  21. I honestly can’t remember the last time I got a haircut and I don’t plan on getting one anytime soon. I do dye my own hair every few weeks though and that costs about €45 for the hair dye itself

  22. Every 6-8wks. Just a cut and style. I pay $40 CAD with tip. It’s expensive but the going rate and she does a great job.

  23. Around S$38 every 6 months for a haircut. I also do a detox treatment because I use a lot of products on my hair on a daily basis and there’s build-up even with using clarifying shampoos.

  24. In college I realized that if I get a pixie cut, it takes my hair 3 years to grow out past my shoulders.
But there’s some awkward grow-out stages, so as for now I think I’m keeping it look, so cutting once a year or every other year? Actually, I was thinking of going soon because I think I want to get an undercut again, but that will mean I’ll need to buy an electric razer to keep it up.
$15-20 wash and trim at like Great Cuts. Cheaper if I can clear my schedule to go to the student hairdresser school’s practice clinic.

  25. I do it myself, usually every 2-3 months, or whenever I notice the ends looking dire.
