Random girl requested to follow me on Instagram, not sure if its a scam or not!?

So like the title says a couple days ago I get this request from a random girl. I(30m) decided to accept it and sent one to her as well. She didnt have a profile picture of her face so I was curious. I go to her page after she accepted my follow request to have a look around and in her bio it says that she is looking for her special person. As if it were a dating bio or something. There was 6 posts, one of her face posted that day and the rest were just photos of what looked like a vacation maybe. They were posted months ago.

Not long after she accepted my follow request she sent me a DM saying hello and that she would like to get to know me, followed by a selfie. This isn’t the same one I saw on her instagram though. The picture on her account she had dark hair and sunglasses on and this new one she has blonde hair without glasses. The features outside of her hair do seem to look the same and people change their hair all the time so not that strange.

Then the third message came, and this one was a long one. Basically it stated how she is looking for her soulmate followed by the kind of partner she would be in a relationship. Now I am not a social media man whore or something lol. This kind of thing does not happen to me and there is nothing special about me or my account. Want that to be known here.

Taking the weird account/lack of one. Two different pictures and this very forward pickup line I’m starting to see similarities to a scam I was involved in from someone I matched with on a dating site a year or two ago. Since this is getting long enough I’ll try and sum up. With my guard raised and desire to catch this person in a lie I decided to play along and talk to this supposed girl while saying things like I have been scammed before when she would ask me about my self. She would just agree that it was horrible that people do that and that isn’t what she is doing.

Fast forward 2 days of talking with minor similarities to the scam I had mentioned but at the same time she seems real. The girl who tried to scam me was asking me to sign up for this website that was “free” within moments of me showing interest. She was also apparently only after sex lol. This was also on a dating app where its likely I could be there for only sex I suppose. Where as this time it was a random private account on instagram and she hasn’t mentioned money even once. All we have talked about is what either of us would bring to a relationship.

The one thing that both of these experiences have in common is google hangouts. Scammer from the dating site asked me to move to messaging there instead of the app right away. Instagram girl has also now requested we move our conversation to hangouts. Outside of these two experiences I don’t use google hangouts so I don’t know why or not to use it.

I apologize if this is somewhat hard to understand, my ADHD paired with lack of social skills makes it hard to summarize a story. Any advice, opinions or similar experiences would be helpful.
