  1. At the moment, the sun sets around 20:30, and it gets dark about an hour afterwards. Sometime in june, it’ll peak, and the sunset will be around 22:10, and it’ll get somewhat dark around midnight, and then just like 3 hours later, it’ll start getting brighter and brighter

  2. The latest sunset is apparently at 21:00 exactly, and it gets dark around 21:40.

I live just south of the 46th parallel, and only about 100 kilometres west of 15°E (which defines CET time), so the daylight is not moved too much towards the either end.

  3. I am in far southern Europe.

Latest sunset here is around 8.35pm.It’s very hot that time of year,so it’s nice to stay outside in the evening.. when it’s still warm but doesn’t kill you!

  4. The latest sunset is in mid to late June at 20:39 and it gets completely dark by around 21:30.

The earliest sunset is in Mid December at 15:50 and gets dark by 16:30.

  5. The latest sunset would be 22:42, and the sun rises the next day at 04:02

During this time of the year it doesn’t get fully dark exactly, but instead there is twilight for the entire period

  6. I live in southern norway so its still relatively dark. Right now the sun sets at 21 and rises at 6. Come june the sun will “set” at around twelve and “rise” around four. It never really gets dark, though. You can easily go for a mountain hike without a flashlight in the middle of the night.

  7. On the longest day? 2207 (BST) and still pretty light for about another hour according to a quick search but it doesn’t actually get fully pitch black for a couple days around then. I’m about 56° north, about 300km west of the centre of our timezone.

  8. Sunrise today is 06:03 and sunset is 20:21.

On the longest day (21.6. summer solstice) sun rise ist at 04:52 and dusk at 21:38 so 16.76 hours.

On winter solstice sun rise is 08:20 and sunset 16:03, so 7.72 hours.

  9. Where I live, in summer, it goes dark at about 23:00. This is because we have the damn time of Germany while living an entire country West of Britain.

  10. Right now around like 21 bur drying peak summer (mid June) it sets at around 2 am and rises at like 3 am

  11. Where I live, at midsummer the sun sets at 2206 and then civil twilight ends at 2311. It doesn’t get darker than nautical twilight until the 16th of July and the nights aren’t fully dark until the 11th of August.

  12. The latest sunset where I stay is 22:04. Interestingly, according to the website I checked, we don’t get night or astronomical twilight at that point in the year. Civil twilight lasts from 22:04 until 23:06, and then nautical twilight lasts until 03:26. Then it cycles back until getting lighter again. I stay in the central belt so the results for people staying in places like Shetland will be even more interesting.

  13. Dublin, sunset is 9:57pm at the longest day, and it is quite bright for over another hour, especially if the sky is clear. The northern horizon never gets fully dark at that time of year.

  14. Northwestern Ireland in mid summer:

    Sunrise 04:55 sunset 22:13 on 22/06

It’s at least twilight from 03:58 to 23:09.

You get long, long midsummer evenings.

  15. In North Germany, where I grew up, the latest sunset is 21:58. So it doesn’t really get dark until after 23:00. And even then, for like one week, you can see a shimmer of light in the North for most of the night, except for maybe one or two hours. Sunrise is 04:48.
