What should I do ???

I am Female(22). I was a child and I used to have a friend who was a boy. We were very good friends then we started growing. I started making new friends (female friend group). We Slowly started to get apart. After some years we don’t play with each other anymore and we only meet at school or birthday party. He was very sweet, honest and nerd kindda guy.

At the time we were in 5th grade and all my friend started commenting on other boys look but no one bothered to talk about him because at that time he often shaved his hair, he wore glasses that were too big for his face, he was shy and only focused on study but he was brilliant in studies and art. We started making fun of him behind his back and laugh at him. He did try to talk to me in class but I ignored just bc all my friend will think I was friend with this dorky. Honestly I did talk to him but not Infront of my friend. We went to 6th grade I again met with him at party and we were playing and he accidently hit me and I got hurt (it was not that bad honestly it didn’t even hurt). Next day he made a card with his own hand and apologized for that accident. I started noticing that he actually liked me. But I ignored him and started talking to other cool boys whom all girls like. After that he totally stopped talking and I also stopped talking. He changed his school in 9th Grade. After that we didn’t even see each other for like for 6 years straight. He never contacted me nor did I. We even didn’t have each other’s number.

One day I went to party of my school friend. Suddenly a boy entered the party. He was soo handsome I completely fell in love with him. All girls at party started to approach him. When I looked at his face carefully I thought I had saw him somewhere. Suddenly I realized he was my childhood friend. He become so different his face had completely changed (almost unrecognizable),he had very beautiful hair, his voice become more manly and his aura was just dominant. He then left the party very early. I talked with my friend about him and she said that he has now enrolled in a medical collage. I asked for his number from her then she said did I was his friend and shouldn’t I had his number, I said to her that I lost his number. She gave me his number. All the girls who were making fun of him now wanting to date him.

Now I am confused should I talk to him now ? Would he think me as a selfish person ? Would he even talk to me now after all these years ? Should I ask him on a date?

I am so confused what should I do????????
