I met a guy at a small group event and we connected based on many similarities. He began flirting with me quite a bit including trying to be physically close to me.
I was a bit into him too. However, after the event, he didn’t maintain any contact at all. I did initiate a text and he replied but that’s it.
I don’t get why he would spend so much energy to make the attempt if he wasn’t really into me in the first place? This confuses me as i don’t know how to believe the next person who gives me this kind of attention.

Same thing has happened to me a few times. Guys rhat are invested at first but then look like they dont make the effort. I always think maybe they are very fleaky, maybe an old crush came their way and forgot about me.
It doesnt matter, if they dont follow throw u can try to reconnect again once, if they dont seem interested, move on.
And you wont know if the next person will do the same, u need to wait and see if they follow through, if they do, they are invested, id they don’t, forget about them
