What sort of mindset should I adopt when meeting her family for the first time? Would it be thoughtful or appropriate to buy her parents & siblings (teenagers) gifts? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

  1. For the first time? Definitely not. It can often make things a bit awkward if you bring any gifts (unless it’s something like a bottle of wine that’ll be shared over dinner). Keep in mind, the most important things for them are signs of how you treat your girlfriend, and how you present yourself. Dress nicely, yet appropriately (no need for a suit, but perhaps something a little more business casual). And most importantly, focus on being engaging. Don’t be meek or too shy. Ask questions, and answer things honestly. Try be yourself, but accept that you are going to want to be the best version of yourself. And that’s ok. Oh and accept the fact that you will never be good enough in her dad’s eyes (half kidding there). Best of luck

  2. Ooohh no, don’t overdo it. Just dress nice and act polite and appropriately.

And by dressing nice, I don’t mean suit and tie, just like, casual nice
