I am starting dental school at USC soon. They use a problem-based learning style which means I will be in groups and discussing a case study with a group. I stumble on my words a lot and I am an anxious person. I am very scared of how I will manage this. I know as a dentist, I will need to be confident and I am tired of feeling like I was accepted to dental school by accident. I had to go through a group interview in order to get in but I genuinely feel like I am not going to fit in. I am scared and anxious about how I will get along with people. I am an overly nice person and feel like a lot of people find me weird because I am always smiling and laughing.

  1. Hi OP, Well, if you got into dental school, I’m guessing you also have good UG grades and good test scores, is that right? If so, then your 4-year track record of academic success is pretty clear evidence that you’re well-qualified.
