I sent nearly a hundred messages and received zero replies. The only likes I got were from ppl in Kenya and shit and I have a suspicion that they weren’t even real. I’m not bitter or anything, online dating is just garbage in general. I think these days you have to go even further out of your way than ever before to stand out or else you’ll wind up as just another face in a woman’s already stuffed inbox. And for women, it’s gotta be a headache having sixty or eighty guys coming at you at once.

I wish I had the time, energy, and confidence to go out into the world and meet someone, but I lack all three of those things, so I’mma just be a shut in, I guess.

  1. I’m a shut in too, it’s kay

Can always go to a dog park tho… people are social af there (bring a dog!)

  2. I hate dating apps. You have to pay money to see who likes you. Just go to a coffee shop or the park or something with the intention of meeting someone. You will be surprised by the results!

  3. Seeing a lot of those sketchy accounts from other countries. Some will even have the same exact profile pic.

  4. Yeah dating apps aren’t great. You probably are thou so don’t let the apps make you depressed.

  5. Never been a fan of online dating sites and apps. I’ve always been suspicious of them, hence the reason why I’ve never bothered to try them out (even though I’ve been tempted to give them a try).

  6. I had the exact same experience last winter and deleted my account. Wasted $50+. The site ought to be shut down. It’s become just a scam!

  7. Why do you lack the time, energy and confidence? Relying solely on the dating apps can be difficult to make work, so easing yourself into meeting people in person like joining clubs/groups that align with your interests can help, or going out with people you feel comfortable with.
