Can anyone recommend free or low-cost services for marriage counseling? Something online/virtual? We’re struggling so much and need help but our insurance doesn’t cover therapy services.

  1. Whats is low cost to you? My therapist was $150/hr and I thought she was great. I can dm her information if you’re interested.

If these don’t work, then invest more of your dollars as marriage is priceless.
    Start with these:
    1) Try checking out your local churches if they have counseling. They’ll give you lay counseling at maybe a nominal cost ($10/session), or a few for even free.
    2) Larger churches have Marriage Family therapists, which then you’d pay, sometimes on a sliding scale depending on your income.
    3) Find a “Prepare and Enrich” counselor in your area. Minimum cost would be $35 for the assessment, and then the counseling is done by a trained P&E person(s). My wife and I are P&E certified, hence I know the process. They may have nominal charges for other pamphlets that they need to purchase, etc.
    4) Attend some one time marriage conferences that are given in areas around. Examples are:
Weekend to Remember, New Life Ministries “Marriage Intimacy”, Focus on the Family “Hope Restored”. They all have conference/session fees, but are still reasonable, depending on how much marriage assistance your marriage needs and how you both humbly submit to the process.
