Obviously eye contact duration & frequency change from culture to culture (and even person-to-person), but 0% eye contact is probably too little [correlation with autism spectrum] and 100% might be too intense [correlated with creepiness]. Or maybe not.

How do we define proper eye contact? How often to look away? How often to hold the eye contact? If someone is on the shyer side, what is the “minimum” duration/frequency, if someone is overly-extroverted, what is the maximum? Does a maximum even exist?

  1. maintain eye contact while you or the other person is talking, look away when the conversation slows. that’s how i think i do it?
minimum would probably be looking only when the other person is talking about something important/interesting.
