Hi there. I have a coworker who wants to sell me some sports equipment, and I would potentially like to buy it. I got the equipment from her a month ago, but couldnt find a missing piece so I returned it to her. She ended up finding the missing piece and re-offered to sell it to me.

We haven’t agreed on a price, and no price has been said. I dont have time to test the equipment any more before I leave but I trust that it works well (but not sure if I personally will like it).

Im just not sure how to navigate this situation as my family has always been awkward about money, and I’m naturally very stingy and picky when it comes to purchases. Would like this to go as smoothly as possible because this co-worker is nice!

  1. You could offer her whatever price you think is fair and hope she accepts the offer. *then in the future, I highly recommend to not ever buy anything from any co-worker ever as things could get awkward and uncomfortable and you never want buying something to affect your relationships or professionalism at work.
