I just had surgery, nothing crazy but enough to make me super sore for a few weeks and where I can’t lift the kids for 4 weeks.
My husband has been an absolute rockstar during all this. I think I was most stressed out thinking about him having to take everything on at least for the first few days. The kids have been sick and coughing all night so there’s also that. And he’s done exactly that but without a single complaint, he’s come in to give me updates on the kids, has been tracking when my next pain meds are up, and is all around just nailing it with a smile.
I’m just so lucky, he’s the absolute best and I needed to shout it somewhere (though I also did to him).
I got him a just because gift, he’s been wanting a new Fitbit and this man wants for nothing so he said he’d ask for it for Christmas. Well it’s arriving today and I just can’t wait to give it to him. I just feel so well loved and am overwhelmed by how “easy” this has been compared to how I thought it would be. Can’t wait to feel better enough to show him how appreciated he is 😉
