You have the option to swap any city in the US for a city from another country. The city you choose to swap will be placed in the exact same place as the US city you decide on. For the sake of simplicity, let’s just imagine the city will magically fit into the spot of the original city, so no problems with any kind of geography or whatever.

  1. Trade Philadelphia for Prague or somewhere else nice. Punishment for hosting the Phillies.

  2. I’d trade Ipswich, Massachusetts for Ipswich, Suffolk. Just because.

  3. Idk about trade but I am so much more mesmerized by CDMX and São Paulo than I am L.A.

  4. Going to embrace my inner angry Texan for a moment by trading Austin for Calgary.

  5. Los Angeles for Tokyo, purely for the sake of making the travel there easier

  6. Chicago where Vancouver is would be the best city in the world by a significant margin.

Not the point of the question but I wanted to say that lol.

  7. Hey Australia, I’ll trade you Orlando for Brisbane, what do you say?

  8. Does it have to be a major city for major city or can I just swap like Newark, DE for Amsterdam? Or like Charleston, WV for Barcelona

  9. I’d swap Istanbul with Southlake, TX. That would make it easy to do all the sightseeing I want to do there, without giving up anything of value. Also willing to consider Vidor instead of Southlake.

  10. New Zealand can have Detroit and we’ll take either Queenstown or Dunedin.

  11. Just get rid of Detroit. It doesn’t matter what you trade it for, just get it out

  12. I’d trade Camden, NJ for the Cotswolds in England. Instead of a crime-ridden city we’d get rolling English countryside. Huge win (for us).

  13. Not an american (south african), but I will trade any of our cities for any of yours… Your most dangerous city has almost the same murder rate than our national average 😩

  14. Vienna, Virginia with Vienna, Austria. Will finally have a very good reason to spend time in Northern Virginia.

  15. Trade the capitals of the two Georgia with each other: Atlanta and Tbilisi. With that, Americans would get much easier access to delicious khachapuri and khinkhali, as well as Georgian wine, while the Caucacus would get peaches and hearty Southern comfort food in return.

I would also trade Stockton, CA for Tokyo. Replace one of the most dangerous and troubled cities in CA for a massive and dynamic but very safe metropolis. Furthermore, being in Japan might make Stockton markedly safer.

  16. Trade Houston for Tokyo

    Trade Seattle for Madrid

    Trade Denver for Bogota

    Trade Milwaukee for Berlin

    Trade Los Angeles for Kinshasa

    Trade Bend Oregon for Mumbai

Trade the state of Florida for Italy

    Trade Anchorage for Melbourne Australia

Trade Phoenix for Dublin cuz I know so many Irish that love Phoenix anyway

    Let the chaos ensue

  17. Trade Houston for Singapore.

In so doing, we’d trade the dumpiest large metropolitan area in North America for a much cleaner, more modern city that has also intelligently embraced its hot climate.

Also, Singapore’s Changi Airport is a tourist attraction in its own right, and makes Houston’s Bush Airport (one of the worst airports in North America) look like something out of a very poor country.
