I just met a friend today and shared me that he cannot have sex with his girlfriend because of her past trauma, so all they can do when it comes to intimacy are kissing, hugging, cuddling. However he wants to stay with her and is okay if there is no sex and that he is willing to wait because everything about the relationship except sex is great. My partner and I don’t have sex due to being in a long distance relationship. We’ve been together almost a year now and have spent 25ish days together in person in that time. It gets a bit lonely sometimes and we miss each other’s touch, miss our intimacy a lotlot, but similar to the story you wrote about, we’re willing to wait because the rest of the relationship is so freaking amazing.
